The 2018 Warren Concours will once again attract a stunning group of entrants, with over 120 cars competing in 14 classes. Judged on condition, history and patina, the cars gain extra points if they took part in the previous day’s Warren Tour. A team of world-class judges will inspect the cars, and select class winners. From these, the title ‘Best In Show’ will be voted for.
In 2017, by an overwhelming majority, the ‘Best In Show’ winner was decided to be the wonderful 1960 Alfa Romeo 3000CM ‘Superflow IV’ owned by Mr Steve Tillack. This car started life as a Carrozzeria Colli 3000CM coupe driven by Juan Manuel Fangio to second place in the 1953 Mille Miglia, which was sold once its racing life ended to Pininfarina. The design house then used it throughout the rest of 1950s as a design mule, with four distinct body changes. The last, known as the ‘Superflow IV’, stole the show at the 1960 Geneva Salon, and has remained unaltered since, and was even raced in the 1970s at Monterey. The car went from the Warren to the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall to be shown for the following week in The Rotunda.

Hundreds of other classic and supercars were on show, from both clubs and individuals. These included a wonderful group of three Ferrari Enzos, a LaFerrari, a Bugatti Veyron and a host of McLarens, Audis, Lamborghinis, Paganis and a Koenigsegg. Classic cars spanned a wide variety- from fully restored Volkswagen ‘split-screen’ campers and wonderful pre-war cars to modified classics.
